IPKO ENHANCES 3G NETWORK COVERAGE AND CAPACITY, COVERING AROUND 50% OF THE KOSOVO TERRITORY

Hundred of thousands IPKO mobile telephony young users will have access to 3G high speed internet from their mobile devices, as IPKO, the first and only 3G network operator in Kosovo, is expanding its 3G network in many other new areas, where its users live or work.

Simultaneously with the expansion of its mobile network, IPKO will continue to enhance the capacity of 3G network in the areas currently covered, in order to provide its existing users an even better experience in using high speed mobile internet, at the places where they mostly use 3G.

IPKO, until the mid-March, scheduled to expand and enhance 3G network capacity in Prishtina, Mitrovica, Podujeva , Vushtrri, Ferizaj, Gjakova, Prizren and Peja.

For the first time 3G network will begin to cover rural areas as well, where it is planned to establish new stations covering the suburbs as well, such as in Hajvalia, Komoran, Konushec, Magjunaj, Mushtisht, Studenqan, Dragobil, Junik , Krushë e Madhe, Llazica Orobërd and Zahaq.

The new IPKO 3G network coverage will enable more than 47 percent of the Kosovo territory to have good 3G network signal both outdoors and indoors.
