After the decision of Telecommunication Regulatory Authority, IPKO mobile telephony has managed to register first 60 thousand mobile telephony customers. The deadline for registration of mobile numbers remains 28th of February 2011.
Prishtina, 24th of January 2011 – Regulation for Registration Mobile Telephony Users approved by Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA), has mobilized users of IPKO mobile telephony, who have registered their sim-cards with 049 numbers.
Twenty days from the beginning of implementation of TRA regulation for registration of all mobile telephony customers, IPKO has managed to register 60 thousand customers who where the first to respond to the call of their mobile operator for their registration as users of a mobile number.
“After this massive response by users, we appeal to all our existing customers and to potential ones as well to register their IPKO mobile number, before 28th of February 2011” said Alban Kastrati, Head of IPKO Public Relations. “We have to register the remaining hundred of thousands of users as well; therefore our customers must not waist any chance for registration of their mobile number”.
On the 1st of December 2010, the Regulation for Registration of Mobile Telephony Users, approved by Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) has entered into force, according to this regulation, all mobile telecommunication services providers are obligated to register prepaid users before the service activation.
IPKO mobile telephony customers can register their mobile number at any of IPKO stores or tends placed in all major cities of Kosovo, as well as online through our official company webpage, where the registration is made partially.
Any customers of mobile telephony services in Kosovo, who purchases a sim-card after 1st of January 2011, will not be able to activate the sim-card until completing the registration procedure with the chosen operator.
