IPKO has announced that after the initial investments it made in the extension of the mobile and fixed network in Kosovo, when it invested hundreds of millions of euros in the creation of the basic infrastructure, its annual investments after 2010 reach an average of 14 million euros .
IPKO closed the year 2015 with total income which reached 69.1 million euros, expenses of 45.5 million euros, EBITDA of 23.6 million euros and 24 percent more capital investments, which have reached 17.2 million euros. The company’s overall capital investments in the economy of Kosovo since 2007 have reached 284.9 million euros. In the last media conference held by IPKO, it was said that the company’s growth in mobile telephony has been great, especially in the last five years.
Over the past year, IPKO has said that on average, over 140 business customers have switched to its mobile network. In addition to presenting the financial results of 2015, IPKO has also presented some interesting statistics for the business of during the past year, as well as the trends in telecommunications that have also affected Kosovo.
IPKO has said that from 2011 until the end of last year, the IPKO mobile network has doubled the number of its mobile users, namely managed to go from 330,000 mobile users to about 620,000 active users during this period. It has done the same in the fixed segment, where in 2011 the company had about 60,000 families that it served with internet and digital TV, while now has said that the number of Kosovar families it serves with these two of its products is 120 thousand. However, the most impressive trend of the IPKO company during 2015 occurred in the business segment, where the growth went up to 80 percent of the number of of mobile users who are part of businesses in Kosovo, while during the same period of time it was reported that the increase in internet services for businesses reached an average of 15 percent. In the end, it was said that the number of young Kosovar families who have spent on IPKO internet services for 2015 has reached an average of 10 percent.
