On the occasion of International Cancer Day, IPKO continues to be dedicated and to support the health care sector in Kosovo. The health care institutions supported this time are the following:
- Oncology Clinic at UCCK, where 400 essential packages were donated for patients being treated with chemotherapy, 5 chemotherapy beds, 100 breast prostheses and 100 bras needed after breast cancer treatment, 38 wigs, and internet and DTV services for 3 years.
- Hemato-Oncology Ward of the Pediatrics Clinic, where IPKO has donated 150 sets of sheets, 100 sheets, 70 quilts, 100 pillows, a washing machine and a dryer, identified as essential needs for this clinic.
- Center for Family Care in municipality of Hani i Elezit, where IPKO has donated a sophisticated Versana Essential 2022 ultrasound system from General Electric Healthcare, detecting cancer in its early stages.
The total value of these donations amounts to 50 thousand euros.
IPKO is already known for initiating and being involved in social responsibility projects and activities in various sectors, with special emphasis on the health care, education, culture and sports sector. In recent years, IPKO has initiated and supported various causes related to the health sector, where the overall support amounts to around 250 thousand euros.
