IPKO HELPS FAMILIES OF MALISHEVA

For the New Years celebration, telecommunication company IPKO has organized a humanitarian action for families in need in the Municipality of Malisheva. This humanitarian action offered 328 food and hygiene packages for kosovar families, 28 of these packages where donated by IPKO employees.

Prishtina 30th of December 2008 – in cooperation with Red Cross of Kosova telecommunication company IPKO has organized a humanitarian aid for families of Municipality of Malisheva. On this occasion IPKO has delivered 328 packages containing food and hygiene items for citizens of this municipality.

The humanitarian action involves fond rising to help kosovar families by IPKO Company as well as self – contribution of IPKO employees which brought the number of families who received food and hygiene pages to 328.

Twenty families of Malisheva martyrs have received a special gift for the New Years.

This project is accomplished in cooperation between IPKO and Red Cross of Kosova who assisted in identification and selection of families with hard life conditions.

The Municipality of Malisheva is the location helped this time, since the number of families in need registered at Red Cross of Malisheva is the biggest in Kosova. Also, these families have not received any aid for a longer period of time.

The goal of this humanitarian action is to contribute in kosovar society by answering the calls of our citizens for help as well as encourage other kosovar businesses to take similar initiatives.

IPKO is considering continuing similar humanitarian initiatives during 2009 to remain closer to the citizens of Kosova.
